Lifetime Learning and Service Recognition (LLSR) Award, The Academy of General Dentistry (2009)

Because of his consistent excellence, Dr. Scott has been awarded The Academy of General Dentistry's highest honor of Lifetime Learning and Service Recognition Award. The LLSR Award is a formal recognition that Academy of General Dentistry Masters achieve in the area of continuing education by amassing 1800 hours in the 14 disciplines of General Dentistry along with 100 hours of dental related community service and service to organized dentistry. This prestigious LLSR symbolizes a dentist’s dedication to remain current in the art and science of Dentistry and to “give back” in service to the community of man. Dr. Scott is Louisana's first recipient of this prestigious award, and the 67th dentist in the United States to have achieved this honorable recognition.

“America's Top Dentists” Award, The Consumer's Research Council of America on seven separate occasions (2003, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2011, & 2012)

Mastership Award, The American Academy of General Dentistry (2004)

Fellowship Award, The American Academy for Sports Dentistry (2000)

Dr. Scott designed and developed the Scott All-Sports Performance Mouthguard in 1988, and served as the President of the Academy of Sports Dentistry from 1996 to 1997. He also lectures on the Team Dentist Course as presented by the Academy of Sports Dentistry and works with professional, Olympic, and local collegiate athletes.
